Just a man, with a man's courage. You know, nothing but a man, who can never fail. |
You know that scene in movies when the characters are on a plane, or a rocketship or something, and the pilots are dead so a passenger has stepped forward to try and land the vehicle?
Usually there’s some other problems added to the mix to enhance the drama. One of the engines is on fire, and the fuel line has been “hit” and they don’t have enough gas to make it to their destination so they have to do some sort of emergency landing on a clearing they’ve found.
It looks totally impossible, but they have no other choice.
BOOM! The other engine starts to smoke.
Then the main character wipes the sweat of their forehead, grips the controls and says something like:
”Buckle up, this is gonna be bumpy!”
… Yeah, that’s pretty much how I feel every day of of my life.
It’s the feeling I have when I get out of bed in the morning.
